Role Models

At the ABF we believe fathers need to take a leading role in their child’s life. There are so many wonderful lessons to pass on and experiences to share. By the time most men are starting a family they have made both good and bad decisions and understand the positive and negative lessons that both present.

Now more than ever our society needs fathers to provide strong role models to our children who are influenced with video games, celebrities and mature adult content that is easily available on internet. Often in fatherless homes these negative external influences provide negative examples of how children should live, communicate and behave.

At the ABF we believe children need both parents in their lives to provide love, care and guidance so they can grow into responsible, productive adults and valued members of our society.

As a father you are needed now, more than ever before, to pass on important life skills and lessons that include good morals, a strong work ethic , decent emotional maturity and good decision making abilities, as we seek to produce the future leaders of our country.

You have a very important role to play in developing positive self esteem and effective communication skills in your children that will give them a great start in life. Your time, contact and love is needed from the very beginning of your child’s life and will help provide the strong emotional foundation they will as adults as they seek to live healthy, happy and successful lives.

Stand up and support the brotherhood as we work to improve equality in parenting and equity in social policy for all parents.
